Setting Up Your Dial-up Account Manually in Windows XP
Open Internet Explorer 
In the upper left hand corner, click on Tools.
In the drop down box, go to the bottom and click on Internet Options
The Internet Options box will pop up
Click on the Connections tab
Click Add and the New Connection Wizard box will pop up
Make sure "Dial-up to a private network" is selected and click next
This is where you enter the dial-up number your ISP provided you with
When you are done entering the number, click next
The next box is where you are going to name your connection. It may be easier to remember if you name it "Dial-up Connection".
Click Finish
This will bring up your dial-up connection settings. Here you will be entering your login ID and Password.
After you have finished entering your information click on OK and it will bring you back to the Internet options page.
Click OK at the bottom of this page and you're ready to connect.
